Why Does Pace Read Like Feet and Inches?

Pace is defined as the number of minutes that it takes to cover a mile or kilometre.

The min' sec" notation is something found on digital stopwatches. We wanted to differentiate duration from pace in a way that is both recognisable and in keeping with other stopwatches and fitness products out there. This is also consistent with other Health & Fitness products, for example - Apple Activity, Nike Run Club etc.

For example, 19’36” would refer to your average pace being 19 minutes and 36 seconds / 1 unit of distance (mile/km/nm).
